Peter, Reggie, the two of Reggie's friends, and I returned back to the campus within Reggie's SUV. Peter, Reggie and I helped take the tied up Robanian to our dorm room. The other two of Reggie's friends remained back at the SUV. Luckily, when we returned back to the dorm room. Nobody saw the tied up Robanian, letting us successfully sneak back inside the dorm.
We put the tied up Robanian onto my bed. Reggie was the first to let go and take a step back. Peter and I glance at each other in approval, before letting go as well. The robanian didn't speak, only remaining completely frozen. Reggie closed the door, "Okay, I don't know what's going on. However, I still think it's fucking awesome to be seeing a fucking alien."
Peter glanced at him unamused, before shrugging it off. I grew a serious expression as we met eyes. "It might seem awesome, but I can assure you that it's not." This made Reggie's expression fade to concern.
"Why? What's going on?"
"I appreciate your help, but this is between me and Peter. If we need your help, we'll ask you." Reggie was about to say something, but Peter responded with a serious tone as well.
"I agree with Floyd, this is between us only." When Reggie notices Peter's expression, he eventually nods in agreement. Then, Reggie turned around and opened the door before walking out. After closing the door behind him, Peter and I glance at each other in silence. Trying to find the words to say something to one another.
It took a while, but eventually Peter spoke up. "Alright, we're here. What kind of help were you thinking of?"
When both of our eyes met, my thoughts returned back to what I was thinking earlier. I took a deep breath, getting myself ready to explain. After breathing out, I felt confident enough in myself to speak. "Listen Peter, I think something bad is coming soon. It might be time for me to take action before it gets serious, possibly dangerous for us."
Peter, in complete surprise from my words. Staring at me curiously and confused, "What? What are you saying?"
I sighed, "When I destroyed that last spaceship two months ago. I realized that I was capable of going into space without any problems. In fact, I was completely unaffected by it." I glance at the Robanian still tied on the bed. "The Robanian warned me of an incoming threat soon to arrive within two weeks. I believe, if I hurry. I can put a stop to it if I can find that threat. However, that means I'm going to have to travel through our universe to find it."
Peter froze from these words, completely speechless at this point. "Wh-what?!" Peter's tone shifted to complete disbelief. "Are you seriously saying space travel??" I took a few minutes to comprehend those words and what I meant. Then, I nodded to him in assurance. Peter's widened eyes and speechless words was enough to make me feel insane
Peter started to pace back and forth, trying to make sense of the situation. I begin speaking again, starting to sound more serious. "This isn't a choice Peter. Their leader is coming here to destroy me and everyone else here. Ever since I destroyed that spaceship. It appears I pissed him off." Peter remained speechless, still pacing back and forth.
"I know what it sounds like, but trust me. I won't be gone for long. I'll be back to-." Peter stopped me from continuing with his hand holding up toward me. He then turned to face me, before looking up to my eyes.
"No. . ." He says with no further explanation for his response. "No, absolutely not."
"Peter. . ."
"What if this leader kills you? What can we do to defeat him? You're our defender, if we lose you before he gets here. Then, we'd have no chance to stop him." Peter said with worry in his tone of voice.
"I know, but staying here till he arrives will only put innocent people in the way of getting hurt. Besides, it's my fault I didn't think this before. He would've been defeated by now if I didn't think he wouldn't come here." I sighed with disappointment and guilt, my eyes glancing over to the Robanian on my bed still tied up.
"At least if I do this, nobody else will get hurt." I say with slight hesitation.
"But, what if you die? Who will we depend on to protect us?" I shrug, unsure what to say to him about that. But then, that's when I remembered something from the news not too long ago.
"Wait a second, I remember something." I rush over to Peter's laptop laying on his bed. I instantly turn it on and get onto the desktop. Peter watches me as I open up the chrome browser. Within the search box, I begin to type the term "Teen Ten." Then, I press enter which instantly brings up millions of results. On the top of the page, was the news articles. Images showing a superpower superhero group based around teenagers.
That's when I noticed the location of where the group was taking place. Which was literally the city next door to me and Peter. "There we go, these guys can help us." I say with confidence. Peter examined the images of the news articles and his face lit up.
"Teen Ten? But they are just teenagers who do simple crime fighting." Peter mentions with slight discouragement. However, I was confident enough to believe that their abilities will do perfectly.
"Not anymore." I say with confidence. "This time, they are going to help with something much more serious." Peter had a blank expression. Though, I can tell that he did somewhat believe I might be on the right track.
"Well, I hope you're right then." He says, before I close the laptop.
"I'm going to head over there and warn them. After that, I'm off. I'll inform them to pick up the remaining Robanian here." Peter stopped me before I started to head to the door.
"Wait!" I turned to him confused. It took him a few minutes to speak. Then, he sighed before speaking. "Stay safe and make sure you come back." He says with slight worry in the tone of his voice. I placed my hand onto his shoulder and smiled at him.
"Don't worry man, I'll be back sooner than you can blink." When I told him this, he smiled in returned. Before I opened the door and headed out. I closed the door behind me, leaving Peter alone with the tied up Robanian.
